Kevin Kacere (pictured), CEO of Insta-Pro International, and Jason Andringa, president and CEO of Vermeer Corp., have been appointed to the President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, which advises the president of the United States on ways to strengthen trade with African nations. The 22-member council has members from varying industries across the United States; they are currently traveling to Ethiopia, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Ghana to meet with government leaders.

“Over the last 10 years, Insta-Pro has focused on Africa and it has become one of our largest revenue segments, but there is still tremendous growth for food/feed companies to unleash in this exciting market,” Kacere said in a release. “My goal is to impact decisions to help make this happen.” Based in Grimes, Insta-Pro specializes in manufacturing extruders, presses and other agricultural processing equipment. Vermeer, the Pella-based industrial and farm equipment maker, has customers in more than 60 countries.

Both Kacere and Andringa, who were appointed in May, will be eligible to apply for the next two-year charter of the advisory council that begins Oct. 1, an International Trade Administration official said.
