Under the general supervision of the Senior Engineering Technician, supervises the construction phase services for the City of Grimes in relation to public infrastructure being constructed with capital improvement plan (CIP) projects and private development projects. Work duties also include assisting the City Engineer with: civil engineering tasks related to in-house design projects; managing consultant engineer and in-house designed CIP projects; reviewing public infrastructure relating to private development projects; maintaining the City of Grimes geographic information system (GIS); coordinating with franchise utility owners concerning relocations and permitting; and responding to complaints and inquiries from the general public, city staff, and contractors.
