Event Description:
This parade kicks off our annual Governors Days celebration! Presented by Rainbow of the Heartland!!
Children are encouraged to dress-up in their favorite costume and participate in this kid sized parade.
Following the parade, stay at the park to eat some great “Fair Food”, play, and check out Sam’s Amusements! Thursday night is “Wristband Night” which means that anyone can ride all night for one low price of $25/person. Spread the word!
As the name would imply, this parade is intended for the kids (but parents/guardians are welcome to walk with their youngsters.)
The parade will begin at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8th, 2023 (Rain may delay this time)
The parade will start at the Grimes Community Complex (410 SE Main Street) and end at Grimes South Sports Complex in the Food Court near the Basketball Courts (750 S James Street), all within Grimes, Iowa. Some kids just march before crossing James Street.
All kids will be given a bag of candy to toss to the attendees or to eat along the way, we don't judge!
